The handle is also extremely easy to grip, even with messy or slippery hands. However, after 4 years of extremely regular use I am not that surprised.
I regularly use it with vegetable oils, heavy creams, etc. The numbers are also still mostly visable so it hasn't caused me to have to purchase a new one.I know that other reviewers have mentioned that this becomes hard to clean when used with fats, but I have never had that issue.
I purchased this 4 years or so ago and it's been a great help to have in the kitchen. The only thing I have noticed is that some of the measuremens have started to scratch off.
and have always found it washes up perfectly by hand or in the top rack of the dishwasher.Overall it is a great product and worth the extra money it costs over a basic measuring cup for the angled measurements and great grippy handle. I love that the measurements are angled because it makes it extremely easy to read, especially if I am trying to juggle other tasks in the kitchen.
Overall it has been a very durable product and even though I have had it for years and have dropped it countless times i is still crack-free and in perfect condition.
OXO needs to work on this. Now it's only used for measuring dry items. Fully agree with the other reviewer whose cup cracked (the 4-cup one is the only one of the set to do so and cracked at the mold release "button" on the bottom) and the reviewer who remarked that it doesn't pour well. It's only a year old and useless for liquids because of the leak but didn't use it so much for that anyway because of the extremely poor pouring qualities.
It's been hand washed with mild detergent, so not sure what's going on.usually Oxo has great build quality and forethought. Worked good for a few weeks, but the measurements have flaked off after just a few uses.
I would rather buy a pyrex cup that will last my lifetime intead of something like this that I will have to throw away every two years. I recieved mine as a gift two years ago. Last month, mine cracked and now leaks at the bottom.
Comfortable handle, light-weight, cleans easily. The only think that could make these products better is if they were made of Pyrex. This is a great measuring cup. I have a 4-cup, 2-cup, and 1-cup, and a set of three of the small 1/4 cup tablespoon measures, which are worlds better than using measuring spoons for small amounts of liquid. What a dream that would be. It has every measurement you could want clearly printed on it. No more bending over to see if you're hitting the right measurement.
